HOW TO: Scan an image 1. Double click the PaperPort icon on the desktop or on the Start Button 2. Click the Scan button in the left column 3. The scanning interface will appear, click the Preview button along the bottom of the window to see what you want to scan. 4. Using the mouse, select the area you want to to scan and then press the Scan button. 5. After the image has been scanned a thumbnail of it will be displayed in the PaperPort program. Click the thumbnail you want to save and then click the Windows 2000 Imaging icon (second from the left) on the bottom row. 6. Windows 2000 Imaging will open your scanned image. Choose File, in the upper right corner, then choose Save As. Choose a destination, most likely the desktop and choose a file name that's appropriate. Be sure to choose .JPG where it asks Save As Type. Click Save. Your image is now on the desktop. |
